NBC!Hannibal + Food
Is it wrong that whenever I see the food, I think “omg that looks delicious.” O_O
That’s actually something I really love about the show: all the lingering tight shots on the dishes, each immaculately styled and presented with obvious love for the food. Near erotic sensuality, really, which is no accident. The emphasis on presentation is important, because as the best chefs will tell you, you eat with your eyes first; and this makes the audience a complicit and willing participant in the feast, even though we know what’s being served. Yes, it’s terrible. Yes, it’s an atrocity. Yes, I want seconds what the hell kind of question is that this is fucking delicious.
Welp, gonna have to watch this now.
